Android Grabs Top Position in Smartphone OS Chart

A latest market share chart has revealed that Google’s Android platform ranks top in the Smartphone market in the United States.

A graph report released by Neilsen Wire on Thursday morning has reinstated that Google’s Android Operating System claims the biggest share in the current American Smartphone market with 39 percent. Google’s OS is followed by Apple’s iOS with 28 percent overall Share in the US.

The data reveals that the 39 percent share claimed by Android is a collective result of HTC’s 14% for Android, Samsung’s 8%, Motorola’s 11% and other manufacturers hold 6% of the total whereas iOS’s 28% is completely Apple’s claim which does not even include iPad and iPod Touch.  [read more]
